About Pamela Anne
I am a Canadian realism painter, born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, and I am currently based in Vancouver.
My passion for drawing and painting began at a very young age. I would draw every day, copying characters from my favourite shows and drawing mythological creatures. Inspired by my late father, whose hobby was painting, I began painting in my elementary years after he gave me oil paints to practice with. Throughout my youth, I explored various subjects such as landscapes and still life, and finally, in grade 12, I began painting portraits.
Although I consider myself to be a self-taught oil painter, I was fortunate to spend 4 years in Toronto, Ontario, working at an art studio as a painting assistant for Canadian First Nations artist Kent Monkman. During my time there, I gained the skills to paint different subjects such as figures, landscapes, still life, and nature using acrylic paints.
Since pursuing my art career full-time in September 2023, I have been posting painting process videos on YouTube. Inspired by people and nature, my goal is simply to create beautiful paintings.
